ABOUT THIS RELEASE This is Release-1.0 of the PM7351 (S/UNI-VORTEX) device driver. It is intended for use with PM7351 S/UNI-VORTEX devices. Release-1.0 is functionally complete and has been tested by PMC-Sierra as described in Section 3 below.

TESTING STATUS OF THIS RELEASE All S/UNI-VORTEX device driver Application Programming Interface (API) functions have been tested in-house using the PM7351 on a proprietary PMCSierra, Inc. validation platform running VxWorksTM RTOS. Example code has been included in this release, demonstrating interoperability with this hardware and operating system. As of the publication date of this document, there are no known bugs in this release. However, the customer is advised to consult our web site (http://www.pmc-sierra.com) for any relevant errata that may have been issued subsequent to the publication of this document.

WHAT'S NEW IN THIS RELEASE?
Release-1.0: This release has the following changes since the beta-1.1 release: Additions: 1. Added the following API functions: vortexHssSetState, vortexHssSetLogChnlAddrMap, vortexSetCtrlChnlBaseAddr, to the file vtx_api.c 2. Added the VTX_UP_DWN_STREAM_MATCH compiler switch for initial vector validation in the file vtx.c 3. Added (volatile UINT1 *) to sysVortexRawRead and sysVortexRawWrite macros in the file vtx_hw.h Modifications: 1. Removed redundant error code VTX_ERR_INVALID_LNK_ID from the files vtx_api.c and vtx_err.h. The error code VTX_ERR_INVALID_HSS_ID is used instead Bug Fixes: 1. Fixed a bug in API function vortexGetHssLnkRxCounts: There was a typo in reading the counter register VTX_RX_HSS_CELL_LSB1 2. Fixed byte order of (VPI, VCI) and AAL5 packet length in ATM cells in the sample code (see file vtx_test.c)
